With ITG PriMaS Secure Print Management App, documents are only released to network printers when users authenticate their credentials by entering an assigned PIN directly on their smartphone, ensuring that no documents end up in the wrong hands or left at their network printer. In a normal printing configuration, a user’s print jobs are sent directly to a print server for immediate printing to a network printer. This results in wasted paper and toner when documents are forgotten and not collected, or if the print job was sent prematurely. It also presents a security risk if those forgotten documents contained sensitive or confidential information. PriMaS provides a simple solution that places print jobs in a holding state until the user authenticates and releases them from their smartphone only once the user physically present at the printer. Users may select individual jobs to print or delete after successful authentication.
